Help
For general help with the events calendar, please contact the calendar administrator at events@wfu.edu.
Submitting events
To submit a single event, use the public event submission form.
To submit multiple events, use the bulk event CSV file:
First, download the bulk event CSV file. Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets and note the column header descriptions. One-time and recurring events can be added to the CSV file, along with event titles, descriptions, dates, times, locations and all other event attributes.
Once the CSV file is completed, send the file to events@wfu.edu. A calendar admin will use the file to import the events into the calendar for review. Once reviewed and approved, the events will be published.
Creating an Effective Event
Follow these best practices when creating an event:
Event Images: Event images should be rectangular, approximately 950 pixels wide and 650 pixels tall. Images may be jpeg, png, or gif format. Image size should not exceed 10MB. Refrain from using images with text, such as the event title, date and other info — that information will be displayed on the event card below the image.
Event Title: Keep it short! A title with more than 70 characters (about ten words) will be cut off. Keep it short!
Event Description: Include the following items in the event description (even though you may enter some information elsewhere on the form):
- Host organization or Department
- Intended audience: e.g., Polo Hall residents, all students, Reynolda Campus staff, etc.
- Location: building and room number, if applicable
- Type of event: e.g., speaker, workshop, film, concert, meeting, etc.
- Event details: Other pertinent details for the event (e.g., is registration required?)
