Pro Humanitate. For humanity—this is Wake Forest University’s motto, and it represents a commitment to using whatever resources we have to help make the world a better place for everyone. Now more than ever, perhaps, we need institutions and individuals to take this charge to heart. Part of doing that means ensuring that we make space for everyone to have opportunities to grow and succeed. So what does that look like for Wake Forest, here and now? What is Wake Forest University doing to support all of its community members, so that they too can live out pro humanitate?
Please join us for a conversation about how Wake Forest is working to be a community that embraces our many strengths, differences, and gifts—a community where we all can find a way to belong. Our panel includes those leading the institution’s efforts to welcome diversity, promote equity, and support inclusion. We hope you will participate in a rich discussion about what is being done—and what needs to be done—to nurture a diverse and inclusive community here, one that reflects us all.
The Wake Forest University Women’s Forum works with women faculty and senior staff on both the Reynolda and the Medical campuses to provide support, professional development opportunities, and advocacy regarding issues relevant to women's success here at Wake Forest. We host a social gathering/networking event in the Fall and a half-day workshop in the Spring as our main events, and we also have begun adding smaller offerings such as panels and mini-workshops throughout the year when possible.
