Guest lecture and demonstration by Prof. Yin Mei, CUNY–Queens College. Yin Mei is Professor of Dance and Director of Graduate Dance at Queens College, City University of New York, and Founder and Artistic Director of YINMEIDANCE. She holds a B.A. and M.F.A. from New York University and an M.A. in Media Studies from Queens College. A dancer, choreographer, and educator, she creates interdisciplinary work that bridges cultures and histories, integrating performance, visual art, installation, live cinema, and sound. Her projects explore connections between Chinese cosmology and contemporary performance aesthetics. She has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Fulbright Program, and the Asian Cultural Council. This lecture draws on her teaching and program development in Dance and Wellbeing.
