The purpose of this event is to provide students with the opportunity to learn about the importance of participating in voting and registering to vote. This program will allow students to learn about what is needed to vote in local elections in North Carolina, if coming from out of state, and will have to opportunity to register themselves to vote. With this program, the hope is to achieve knowledge of the process of voting in general, as well as the criteria for voting in a new state.
