The Center for Literacy Education will host the Visiting Scholars Speaker Series and Community Networking Conference on Monday, March 24, from 4-8 pm. 

The theme of the conference is “A Gun is Not Fun: Strategies to Keep Children Safe from Gun Violence.” 

Featured speaker is William Electric Black, aka Ian Ellis James, a seven-time Emmy Award winning writer for his work on “Sesame Street” and faculty member at NYU’s Tisch School.
