The Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies department invites the public to attend the Fall Colloquium series featuring author and storyteller Leah Nicole Whitcomb.

The Tale of Oba: Gender at the End of the World: What can the downfall of a Yoruba deity tell us about our crumbling society? In this keynote address, author and community storyteller Leah Nicole Whitcomb will share the tale of Oba, compare gender dynamics between West African and western mythology, and reflect on which stories we need to leave behind as we journey from the end of this world into the start of the next one. Moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Khaliah Reed.
