How can the humanities and the liberal arts inform our understanding of leadership?
Join the editors of The Arts of Leading, Michael Lamb (Wake Forest University) and Ed Brooks (Oxford Character Project), who will introduce a panel discussion among several of the book’s contributors:
- Paul B. Escott, Reynolds Professor of History Emeritus, Wake Forest University
- Thavolia Glymph, Peabody Family Distinguished Professor of History, Professor of Gender, Sexuality & Feminist Studies, Faculty Research Scholar of DuPRI’s Population Research Center, Duke University
- David Lubin, Charlotte C. Weber Professor of Art, Wake Forest University
- Corey D.B. Walker, Dean, School of Divinity, Wake Forest Professor of the Humanities, and Director, African American Studies Program, Wake Forest University
The panel will be moderated by Michele Gillespie, Provost and Presidential Endowed Chair of Southern History at Wake Forest University.
A reception will follow. The event will also serve as the launch for The Arts of Leading: Perspectives from the Humanities and the Liberal Arts, which will be published by Georgetown University Press on December 2. The volume is based on our 2019 conference at Wake Forest, which was the first major event of the Program for Leadership and Character.
