Summer is just around the corner, do you have your plans made? Drop into the Campus Kitchen Lounge on Wednesday, Jan. 30 between 4:00-5:00 pm to grad some cookies and get all your questions about SNIP answered. This is an informal drop-in space, feel free to drop by for as long or as little as you'd like. If you are unable to attend, but still interested in learning more about SNIP, reach out to Deb Marke at marked@wfu.edu.

Through the Summer Nonprofit Immersion Program (SNIP), the WFU Office of Civic & Community Engagement places undergraduate students in full-time internships with nonprofits in the Winston-Salem area each summer for the months of June and July.  SNIP enhances both the learning of the student and the capacity of the community partner. Participants will work full-time Monday-Thursday at their placement sites and work half days on Fridays at their placement and spend the rest of the day in shared discussion, reflection, and socializing.

The ideal student participants are seeking scholarly, professional, and personal development through intensive work in the nonprofit sector. Ideal community partners provide committed mentoring and supervision to the student and a work plan that enriches the capacity of their organization while connecting to the student's academic and/or professional interests.
