Please join us on Friday, March 10, from 4-6pm for a reception celebrating a new exhibition of my work at the ZSR Library at Wake Forest University.

This pop-up exhibition is made up of one sculpture from the Wake Forest University J.P. Anderson Collection of Student Art and of recent collages. The materials for all of these works were taken directly from discarded art history books and books from the ZSR Library itself, reimagined, and then placed back into the stacks of the library relative to the books that inspired the work. This work explores how ripping and tearing – actions we associate with destruction and ruin – can create new relationships between divergent materials. Collage preserves the decay of these found, often ephemeral, materials and rewards the close-looking of those searching for connections.
