THIS IS A PAST EVENT.
The Wake Forest Concert Choir, Collegium Vocal Ensemble, and the Wake Forest Chamber Choir will close the 2013-14 season for the second year in a row with a concert with the unusual title “I Laughed! I Cried!! It Was Better Than Cats!!!”
Music has the power to move listeners and this is especially true of choral music. Each choir will sing vocal selections that are humorous, sad, and entertaining, featuring selections from the new Disney movie Frozen.
In addition, the Concert Choir will sing settings of humorous and serious epitaphs by Dan Locklair and Phillip Rhodes, the Collegium will present Eric Whitacre’s Animal Crackers with poetry by Ogden Nash, and the Chamber Choir will sing music by Virgil Thomson, Bruce Sled, Ken Berg, and Bobby McFerrin’s The 23rd Psalm.
Brian Gorelick, conductor.
