The Pro Humanitate Institute and the Economic Equality Working Group of the recently formed Wake Forward (faculty/staff/students who share a vision of positive social change for our campus, city and state) invite you to a PHI Faculty Engaged Teaching Luncheon Discussion Mari Krane, MURP, Interim Executive Director of Forsyth Futures, a non-profit, research organization established in 2006 that studies Forsyth County data to track trends in the well-being of our community will discuss how the organization puts community knowledge to work by providing an objective broad view of local information, being a catalyst, connecting people, and serving as a convener.

Marcus Hill, MPH, Interim Lead Coordinator of Forsyth Community Food Consortium will discuss the genesis of the consortium which emerged from the 2013 study released by Forsyth Futures entitled Forsyth County's Community Food System: A Foundation to Grow.

Both will address the current focus of the organizations and how we on campus can make use of the invaluable resources they provide in our academic and community engagement. An open discussion will follow. Lunch is provided!
