DESCRIPTION:Democracy North Carolina along with the Southern Coalition for 
 Social Justice operates the nonpartisan voter hotline\, 888-OUR-VOTE\, wher
 e callers may ask questions about how to register to vote and cast a ballot
  in North Carolina. With the support of our Election Protection partners\, 
 voting issues are also resolved and documented for future advocacy. \n\nTo 
 sign up\, click this link. After you sign up\, you will be directed to the 
 training which will be on Thursday\, September 26th\, 2024. \n\nVolunteers 
 are especially needed during Early Voting (October 17 - November 2)  and El
 ection Day (November 5).\n\nVolunteers are required to:\n\nEither have a JD
 \, be currently enrolled in law school\, or have prior experience answering
  the NC voter hotline.Be able to serve a minimum of 2-3 shifts a month. You
  do not have to volunteer every month the hotline is active\;Have access to
  a computer with reliable internet access and a headset with a microphone. 
 One can be provided to you if needed. Have basic computer/internet skills a
 nd the ability to troubleshoot problemsBe able to attend or complete a 2-ho
 ur online training\;Be able to interact with voters in a calm\, nonpartisan
