NC Lawyers Assistance Program Office Hours
Wednesday, April 5, 2023 12pm to 2pm
About this Event
Volunteers from the North Carolina Lawyers Assistance Program (NCLAP) will join us for free and confidential consulting meetings with students. NCLAP's mission is to provide assistance to our state's legal professionals for issues that may impair the ability to effectively practice.
Most incoming law students know from the outset that law school will be tough but sometimes getting some extra help is needed. For those who may be struggling with anxiety, stress, burnout, or other things like disclosures to the bar, NC LAP volunteers will hold Office Hours to help.
Other common reasons students seek consultation include:
-Bar application disclosure concerns
-How to approach character & fitness processes
-Current difficulties with alcohol or substance use, or a history of it
-Guidance for inquiries pertaining to Protected Health Information (PHI)
-Guidance for inquiries pertaining to legal and/or financial issues
Walk-ins are welcome or students can email Candace Hoffman (candace@nclap.org) to schedule an appointment in advance.
