In this class we will explore and discuss the features of Microsoft Excel. Hands-on activities will allow participants to learn skills needed to use and apply Microsoft Excel in business and personal settings. Class modules include:

Introduction to Excel

Identifying elements of the Excel interface
Exploring and customizing the ribbon and menu items
Creating a worksheet
Navigating multiple worksheets
Formatting worksheet tabs

Modifying a Worksheet

Manipulating data
Inserting, manipulating, and deleting cells, columns, and rows
Searching for and replacing data
Spell checking a worksheet

Formatting a Worksheet

Modifying fonts
Adding borders and color to cells
Applying number formats
Aligning cell contents
Applying Cell Styles
Applying basic Conditional Formatting

Calculations

Using formulas
Inserting Excel functions

Organization and Visualization

Creating and modifying tables
Sorting and filtering data
Creating and modifying charts

Printing a Worksheet

Using Page Layout tools
