THIS IS A PAST EVENT.
We have long known that the strategies we adopt in the classroom can have a dramatic impact on student outcomes. Thanks to recent research on inclusive teaching, we know these strategies can contribute to equitable outcomes, as well. The impact of transparent teaching, or setting clear expectations for our students, has been especially well-documented within the literature. In this workshop, CAT Executive Director Betsy Barre will facilitate a conversation about the costs and benefits of transparency, share some of the most compelling research, and provide concrete strategies for making your expectations more explicit.
