The conversation will feature three panelists, moderated by Dean Walker, focused on the connections between the struggle to protect smallholder land -- especially Black-owned land -- in North Carolina, and broader struggles for community autonomy elsewhere in the United States and across the globe. We'll explore the origins, character, and fate of these efforts from an interdisciplinary perspective. The event will run for about an hour and a half, including time for questions.
