THIS IS A PAST EVENT.
This exhibit will showcase the newly purchased student artwork from the 2015-2016 Student Art Exhibition.
Established in 1993, the John P. Anderson Collection of Student Art purchases student works as way to recognize the accomplishments of Studio Art majors and students achieving Honors in Studio Art at Wake Forest University.
The collection consists of works purchased at the annual student exhibition at the Charlotte and Philip Hanes Gallery each Spring. This year, there were fifteen works by thirteen different artists purchased for the collection. Works added to the collection in 2016 include drawings, linoleum prints, photographs, paintings, videos, and sculptures. The artists represented in this year's show are Katita Miller ('16), Erin Tapp ('16), Shangran Sheng ('16), Connor Heindel ('16), Max Gordon ('18), Abby Fritzsche ('17), Cami Burruss ('16), Richard Eiseman ('18), Devon Gilbert ('17), Matt Avara ('17), Kayla Amador ('19), Akanima Okpokowuruk ('18), and Kyrsta Wangerin ('16).
After the show, the artwork will be placed around campus as part of the John P. Anderson Student Art Collection.
