Janey Thompson was a second-year student at Wake Forest who passed away unexpectedly in April 2024. To honor her, we created the Jam for Janey 3v3 basketball tournament. Janey was a biophysics major and a proud member of the Physics Honors Society. Outside of academics, Janey was a passionate and valued member of the Women’s Club Basketball Team, a member of Wake Radio, and a Delta Delta Delta sister. This initiative provides funds for the Janey Thompson Scholarship that supports students with a passion for physics. We are grateful for contributions toward the scholarship, ensuring her legacy endures forever.
