On October 2, Carson Smith from the Mecklenburg County Public Defender's Office, and Kelvin Alexander (a client he represented in the I&J Clinic) will be visiting wake to give a panel discussion about Wrongful Convictions and Criminal Justice Reform on Wrongful Convictions Day. The theme for this Wrongful Convictions Day will focus on resilience, for Mr. Alexander, his resilience within the incarceration system, and for Mr. Smith, his resilience as a defense attorney fighting against it,
