THIS IS A PAST EVENT.
A series of workshops, facilitated by the Intercultural Center, to provide student leaders with meaningful tools to further develop their individual cultural competence and to create more inclusive organizations. By attending these workshops, participants will:
Learn how to use empathy as a tool for building relationships among organization members and others in the WFU community as it relates to member recruitment and retention.
Reflect and self-assess their organization's inclusive programming practices
Describe potential barriers to building community within the organization
Identify personal cultural conflict styles and tips for managing conflict between members
Reflect on different types of power and how it affects positive social change within an organization
Understand the implicatons of implicit bias
Students who complete at least 4 of the workshops will earn an Inclusion Influencer certificate.

iLab is an inclusion learning lab that offers interactive workshops and online resources designed to support faculty, staff, and students in increasing their cultural awareness and interpersonal effectiveness. The initiative, facilitated by the Intercultural Center, supports the University’s mission by fostering intersectional awareness and understanding, and empowering all members of the Wake Forest community to become more inclusive.
