Habitat for Humanity Build Days

In continuing a strong partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County, Wake Forest University is once again sponsoring the construction of a Habitat home here in Winston-Salem. This project presents a wonderful opportunity to unite the Wake Forest community and to put to action our motto of Pro Humanitate.
Individuals and groups can register to volunteer for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. shifts during Habitat's regular building schedule (every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday). Construction on the WFU-sponsored house started on August 22nd and is expected to be completed mid-November. Depending on the construction schedule, volunteers may be assigned to another one of Habitat's homes. Any volunteer shifts that occur during work hours must be approved by a supervisor.

Individuals can register to volunteer by following these instructions:

Please follow this link to sign up for volunteer slots on Volunteer Hub:
At that website, click "Register" at the bottom right. Create a User ID and Password and click "Next."
On the next screen, you will be prompted to provide a Join Code. There is no join code for individuals - just groups. Just click "Next."
Complete the User Details form. By completing that form, you are agreeing to the Waiver. PLEASE USE YOUR WFU EMAIL ON THIS FORM.
To read the waiver, click on the link to "review the waiver and release of liability." Do not "x-out" – use your back arrow after reading the waiver.
After checking your account information, click on "Next" to sign up for an event. The next page will be a listing of the events. Scroll to your desired date and click on "Build with us!"
The link will direct you to a new page. Hit the "SIGN UP" button on the left side.
All who register will receive a confirmation email and a reminder email from Habitat once registration is complete.

Groups can also reserve dates to assist in the construction of the WFU-sponsored house. Working on a Habitat house is a great team-building exercise for any department or office.

For group registrations or other questions, please contact Sydney Feinglass, Fellow in the Office of the President, at or extension 4061.
