Guest Artist: Classical Duo “Beethoven Rediscovered”

The “Classical Duo” consists of violinist Jerilyn Jorgensen and fortepianist Cullen Bryant--both of them specialists in performing music of the 18th and 19th Centuries on authentic instruments of the period. Their program is entitled “Beethoven Rediscovered”, and they will be performing two sonatas for violin and piano by Beethoven, interspersed with commentary on their choice of instruments and performing style. Violinist Jerilyn Jorgensen is on the faculty of Colorado College, and was the first violinist of the DaVinci String Quartet. Cullen Bryant is a distinguished chamber musician and collaborative pianist in New York City. Both musicians have devoted themselves to the study of authentic performance practice of the Classical Era.
