The Association of Wake Forest University Black Alumni (AWFUBA) and the Wake Forest University Program in African American Studies are pleased to invite you to the annual AWFUBA/African American Studies Homecoming Lecture scheduled for Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 12:00noon via Zoom. The year’s lecture, “Then and Now”: African American Studies at Wake Forest University - An Intergenerational Conversation, features a public conversation with two Wake Forest University professors:

Dunn Chair and University Professor of African American Studies Alton B. Pollard III

Assistant Professor of African American Studies Eshe Sherley

Professor of African American Studies Shanna Greene Benjamin and Dean of the School of Divinity, Wake Forest Professor of the Humanities, and Director of the Program in African American Studies Corey D. B. Walker, P '25 will moderate the conversation.
