What explains the politics of enmity between two previous allies? In this presentation, Dr. Boroujerdi analyzes the dynamics underpinning the relations between a global and a regional superpower that were unleashed by the 1979 Iranian Revolution and offers insights as to what may yet be in store.
Mehrzad Boroujerdi is the Director of the School of Public and International Affairs at Virginia Tech. From 1992 to 2019, he was a professor of Political Science at Syracuse University’s Maxwel School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
