This multi-GRAMMY and MacArthur Foundation award-winning new music ensemble eighth blackbird (named from a poem by Wallace Stevens) has provoked and impressed audiences for 20 years across the country and around the world with its virtuosity and sense of theater.
A Chicago-based sextet of flute, clarinet, piano, percussion, violin, and cello, eighth blackbird combines the finesse of a string quartet with the power of a rock band.

Wake Forest faculty, staff and retirees receive free admission for themselves and one guest to each Secrest Artists Series performance. WFU Students receive free admission for themselves. Simply show your WFU I.D. at the door.
