http://pdc.wfu.edu/event/13092/A series of workshops, facilitated by The Office of Diversity & Inclusion - Diversity Education, to provide student leaders with meaningful tools to further develop their individual cultural competence and to create more inclusive organizations. By attending these workshops, participants will:
Learn how to use empathy as a tool for building relationships among organization members and others in the WFU community as it relates to member recruitment and retention.
Describe potential barriers to building community within the organization
Reflect on different types of power and how it affects positive social change within an organization
Understand the implicatons of implicit bias
Identify personal cultural conflict styles and tips for managing conflict between members
Reflect and self-assess their organization's inclusive programming practices

4/9/19 (5-6 pm) - Approaches to Cross-Cultural Conflict
4/10/19 (5:30-6:30 pm) - We Anticipated You: Inclusive Programming Tips & Tools
