During this session, you will learn about the impact of accessible, flexible textbook choices for students with print-based disabilities. Reading accommodations and reading technologies enable students to access course materials and empower students to engage with their reading material using a variety of formats and techniques. This session will include principles of universal design: encouraging you to make early interventions in the textbook selection process to remove barriers for students with disabilities and to introduce flexibility for students with a wide variety of reading preferences.
