About this Event
View mapCreating Inclusive Learning Opportunities in Higher Education delivers a step-by-step guide for putting the principles of universal design (UD) into action. Burgstahler shares the principles, guidelines, practices, and processes supporting the framework to conceptualize and apply UD. In addition, she provides the implementation model to tailor any campus exploring ways to use UD to meet broad goals with respect to diversity and inclusivity. Let’s meet and discuss how we can contribute to a barrier-free environment for all students.
This book group will meet three times this semester (9/7, 9/21 & 10/5) from 1-2pm in ZSR 665 (Faculty Commons Classroom). We will provide the book for the first 12 registrants. These discussions are very popular so we ask that you register only if you are available to attend all sessions.
