Scorched Earth and Destruction in Zimbabwe: Lessons on Property Rights and Markets

Ben Freeth, Executive Director, Mike Campbell Foundation Dr. Craig Richardson, Associate Professor of Economics, Winston-Salem State University.

Freeth and Richardson will discuss of the collapse of Zimbabwe’s economy and free markets when the country’s property rights and rule of law were compromised. Freeth was one of the farmers whose property was destroyed and he reached international recognition by fighting the government through the Zimbabwe court system and then the international courts in Southern Africa.
