THIS IS A PAST EVENT.
What have students actually learned when they complete a program of study? Do they know, can they do, all the things we think they can? Have they progressively developed expertise in a discipline or have they just accumulated many credits? The goal of this workshop is to help us answer these questions. Topics will include program level student learning outcomes, scaffolded learning experiences, methods for direct and indirect measures of student learning, and sampling strategies. Participants will be encouraged to share ideas, experiences, and examples of their work.
This workshop is ideal for department chairs, program directors, curriculum committee members, and anyone else who is interested in substantive thought and reflection on the overall student learning experience and continuously improving student learning opportunities at Wake Forest.
