“Art in the Archives: A Celebration of Campus Galleries” is the 2015 Archives Month event in Z. Smith Reynolds Library’s Special Collections & Archives. This “kick-off” event celebrates the establishment of new collections in the WFU archives for the Hanes Gallery and the START Gallery. We invite campus and community members to drop in to the Special Collections & Archives Reading Room on October 29th from 4-5:30 p.m. to see our space, learn about archival practice, and celebrate our growing relationship with these two important campus art galleries.

Special Collections & Archives began the tradition of Archives Month events in 2013. Previous event include “Documenting Diversity,” “Collections of Hope,” and “Wake Up The World.” Preserving the archival record of Wake Forest’s Departments is the ongoing mission of the University Archives. Although this work happens every day, we hope that celebrating Archives Month on Wake Forest’s campus will help draw attention to the importance of maintaining the historical record of a diverse group of campus activities, people, and interests. We hope you can join us!
