Gene Hooks Field at Wake Forest Baseball Park is home to the Demon Deacon baseball team. The Deacons moved in to the 6,000-seat facility before the start of the 2009 season after playing the previous 28 seasons on campus at historic Gene Hooks Stadium.

SO SAD... we never got our act together...
A clean sweep. This last game was a nail biter. Too close for my comfort.
We crushed 'em!!
Fabulous game. Cheers to Nick DiPonzio!!!
Luckily I managed to leave work and arrive at the game just past 7:30 pm. I had stopped to speak to the gate guard and looked over to see Stuart coming up to bat. I watched his 3 run Homer from the railing behind the seats, and that was the start of a tremendous evening for the Demon Deacons and Stuart Fairchild.
Whaah! 5 errors! We had 5 errors. We walked in runs and gave them runs on wild pitches, it was a debacle, a disaster, the last two innings could have cast the pitcher, catcher and first baseman as the three stooges. But it was baseball, so it was great. AND they all redeemed themselves in the following games with Georgia Tech.
This was the perfect game of the GT series. No major flaws or problems. We pulled ahead quickly and stayed ahead, getting more and more ahead as the innings went on. Beautiful day, loads of fans in the stands,
Some very tense moments as the rain changed the dynamics of the running, throwing and hitting, but our Demon Deacons prevailed and we sighed with relief.
Our Baseball Demon Deacons were amazing. Will Craig did a great job Pitching!
There is nothing so exciting as winning in extra innings, after having been tied since the sixth inning. Nick Bisplinghoff, our catcher, and not the expected savior of the game, drove in our winning run with a fabulous line drive Double.
