THIS IS A PAST EVENT.
We hear a lot about community engagement, and specifically community engaged teaching, at Wake Forest. But what does it actually mean? Is it the same as service-learning? How does it differ, if at all, from project-based learning? And how confident are we that community engagement actually enhances learning? What challenges do those who want to incorporate community engagement into their courses face? And what does it look like when it goes well?
Join the Pro Humanitate Institute and the Teaching and Learning Collaborative for an exploratory session where we will engage these questions together, explore models of community engaged teaching, and discuss existing resources on our campus and in the community. Whether you are just starting out or have been doing this work for years, we invite you to be a part of this important conversation.
PLEASE NOTE: Registration is required for this event. Use the "Register" link on this page.
