This retreat offers participants an opportunity to explore the gifts of mindfulness and intentionality. The day is designed with a large block of intentional silence in which we will offer multiple stations with which one may deeply engage. Our offerings are intended to be 'joyful invitations' to keep the silence and observe where Spirit moves for you. This retreat provides a time for reflection, self-care, and discovery in a season marked by underground stirrings, deep listening and quiet contemplation.
Rev. Craig Schaub, Pastor with Parkway United Church of Christ, finds great sustenance in contemplative prayer, alone and in community. Craig has a certificate in leading contemplative prayer and silent retreats with the Shalem Institute. He led a six week contemplative practices series with Wake School of Divinity students in fall 2015. We're pleased to welcome Rev. Schaub as our winter retreat coordinator.
