Part II of II, both parts required for registration. Part I is Tuesday, 3/21, 5:45-8:45 p.m.
This workshop will be a gathering space for diverse divinity school students, faculty, and staff to come together and learn different aspects of LGBTQ and intersecting identities. The discussion will focus on manners in which these identities influence a variety of aspects of one's life.
About Safe Zone: Safe Zone is a campus wide program designed to visibly identify students, staff, and faculty who support the LGBTQ population, understand some of the issues facing LGBTQ individuals, and are aware of the various LGBTQ resources. Safe Zone prepares individuals to create an environment in which all people are free to thrive academically, professionally and personally. With Safe Zone certified individuals found across campus, students can seek providers of safe space and feel reassurance that the experiences they are having are not compromised by their LGBTQ identity.
