The Women's Center series "Gender Equity at Work" is a new professional development suite that 1.) builds participants' critical eye for recognizing how gender norms and expectations show up in the workplace and why it matters; and 2.) develops participants' skills to better advocate for themselves and others in ways that support women and promote gender equity at work.
At our April 20 workshop, "Recognizing & Interrupting Harmful Gender Norms," you will build awareness about workplace norms, explore how gendered expectations contribute to workplace norms, and develop tools and strategies for interrupting norms to create gender equity in your workplace.
“Gender Equity at Work” is open to Wake Forest University faculty, staff, and graduate students. This is not a sequential series; there are no prerequisites. Visit the PDC for other upcoming offerings in the series.
