THIS IS A PAST EVENT.
Join us as we revive this key social pastime of the 1920s with a unique connection to Reynolda. The "Babcock Rules," also known as the "Red book," was the earliest version of mahjong to be introduced to America, and taught several generations to play the game.
In this course, we'll explore this history as it relates to Reynolda, and we'll learn enough of the basics to know our 'pung' from our 'kong' and our 'prevailing wind' from our 'dead wall.'
Instructor Phil Archer is director of public programs.
