2017 Gentry Lectures

This years special guest speaker is

Dr. G. Bard Ermentrout, University of Pittsburgh.

G. Bard Ermentrout is the Distinguished University Professor of Computational Biology and Professor of Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh.  Dr. Ermentrout  is known for his contributions to computational and mathematical neuroscience with particular attention to development of the theory of phase oscillators (w/ Nancy Kopell) and pattern formation in nonlocal systems. He is the coauthor of the book  Mathematical Foundations of Neuroscience (w/ D. Terman) and the developer of the dynamical systems software, XPPAUT.
